By car
Ballarat is just a 90-minute drive from Melbourne&#8217;s CBD. Take the 110km journey along the Western Freeway.
By train
Hop on a V/Line train at Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station and, in less than 90 minutes, you&#8217;ll have arrived at the historic Ballarat Train Station in the centre of town.
Via the airport
The road trip from Tullamarine or Avalon airports to Ballarat takes about 60 minutes. Transport options direct from the airport include hiring a car or booking the Airport Shuttlebus from Tullamarine.

The new Ballarat Botanical Gardens Visitor Information Centre at the Robert Clark Centre has plenty of parking options to cater for bigger vehicles.
Dedicated caravan parking is located on Nursery Drive (off Wendouree Parade), along with public toilets and some great spaces to stretch your legs in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens.

Day Pass ticket includes unlimited hop-on hop-off bus travel for one day, throughout scheduled operating hours.
Adults (16+) $10 
Children (5 -15 years) $5 
Children (4 and under) free but ticket must be booked 
Family (2 adults + 2 children) $23
<a href="https://ballaratinformation.experienceoz.com.au/en/melbourne/hop-on-hop-off-bus-ballarat">Book your day pass online</a> or through the Ballarat Visitor Information Centre.
A wristband will be allocated to each ticket holder at the first arrival point of the day – this must remain on the wrist of each passenger to use this service.
This is a transport-only ticket; entry tickets to Sovereign Hill, Ballarat Wildlife Park and Eureka Centre must be purchased separately. Excludes food and beverages, personal expenses, guided experiences within attractions and child safety equipment (car seats are not required in this vehicle).

Cancellation Policy 
&#8211; Free cancellation up to 24 hours prior to travel 
&#8211; Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable 
&#8211; No-shows are non-refundable
Terms and Conditions 
&#8211; Tickets are valid for the selected date only 
&#8211; Children 4 and under are welcome but require a free ticket to be booked 
&#8211; Unlimited hop-on hop-off access within operating hours advertised 
&#8211; Services run to a set timetable and are subject to change 
&#8211; Passengers must follow all safety instructions onboard 
&#8211; Please note, this service operates on availability and the operator reserves the right to reschedule, cancel or amend booking dates and times.

The current trial vehicle can accommodate prams and walkers; however it is not able to accommodate wheelchairs at this time.
Accessibility improvements will be a key consideration should the service continue 
beyond the trial period.

Runs every 30-60 minutes.

 

Recommendation if travelling from Melbourne:  Hop off the train at the Wendouree Station and then walk 800 metres to the gardens.t
