Join in for a relaxed afternoon of creativity and colour in a botanical thread painting workshop with artist Katherine Scott.

Set beside a lovely community garden, this welcoming workshop invites you to slow down, experiment and enjoy the meditative pleasure of 'colouring in' with thread.

With guidance and helpful tips from Katherine, you will explore how to plan and begin your own small botanical thread painting, playing with stitches, colour and composition along the way. Learn at your own pace in a relaxed, supportive environment where experimentation and personal expression are encouraged.

No previous experience is necessary, and beginners are warmly welcome. Whether you're looking to try something new, reconnect with your creativity or simply enjoy an afternoon making something beautiful, this is an opportunity to discover the gentle, rewarding art of stitching.

All materials are provided, along with afternoon tea to enjoy as you create.

Nestled between Maryborough and Clunes, they are located approximately 50 minutes from Ballarat, just over an hour from Bendigo and two hours from Melbourne. Come along, find inspiration in the botanical world and enjoy a little creative time for yourself.

Acknowledgement of Country

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
