Create Better Health by Understanding the Language of Your Body: Ancient Wisdom, Modern Science and the Microbiome Connection.

This presentation explores how ancient wisdom and modern science can help you better understand the body's signals and the factors that influence health and wellbeing. Drawing on insights from neuroscience, microbiome research, nutrition, functional medicine and Eastern medicine, Dr Meredith O'Loughlan examines the interconnected relationship between the gut, brain, immune system and whole body.

Participants will be introduced to the Neurobiome Wheel, an innovative framework that brings together common physical, emotional and cognitive symptoms into recognisable Biopatterns. Rather than viewing symptoms in isolation, the Neurobiome approach helps identify underlying patterns that may contribute to fatigue, stress, digestive issues, anxiety, inflammation, poor sleep and other chronic health concerns.

This engaging presentation offers practical insights into understanding the body's innate intelligence and provides a fresh perspective on creating greater health, resilience and wellbeing from the inside out.

Acknowledgement of Country

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
