Ballarat’s Big Bite

Join in to celebrate the launch of Ballarat's Best Pie 2026, with the spectacular community event Ballarat's Big Bite.

They are packing Civic Hall with pastry lovers for Ballarat's biggest gathering of people eating pies at the same time. They want you to come and eat a (free) pie for breakfast with hundreds of other pie fanatics.

Adding to the excitement, the event will be broadcast live on Channel 7's Sunrise, showcasing Ballarat's pie-making pride to audiences across the country.

They are calling on visitors and locals alike to be part of this fun moment, bringing hundreds of pastry enthusiasts together in the heart of one of Australia's great pie-making regions.

Doors open at 6 am and close at 7 am, with the event starting at 7.15am. Ballarat's Big Bite will be broadcast live on Sunrise at 8.10am.
