Deep dive into the creative credentials of the arts community in and around Creswick by paying a visit to Art on Albert. This community art gallery was established in 2025 by a committee of volunteers to give local and regional artists a space to showcase their work to visitors.

You will see paintings, ceramic works, woodwork, prints, photographs, and etchings, and all work on display is available for purchase.

Art of Albert stages themed exhibitions throughout the year, including Creswick Through the Eyes of the Artist, and Bigger Hearts for the Ballarat Dementia Alliance (Creswick Group). There's always something interesting to see, and you will be able to meet some of the contributing artists during your visit.

The gallery is situated in the main street of Creswick, close to cafes, bakeries and The American Hotel. Make a point of dropping by to explore the creative heart and soul of this tight-knit community.

Acknowledgement of Country

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.

©️ 2026 Visit Ballarat. This initiative is funded by the City of Ballarat and Tourism Midwest Victoria.
