This series stems from a memory of emotional neglect, where gestures of care were withheld and only promised in suffering or death. In this context, flowers become symbols of absence, reflecting how unmet needs can erode self-worth. The work ultimately questions why value is so often recognised only in absence, exploring themes of worthiness, visibility, and the desire to be seen and chosen in the present.
