Some rides stay with you. This is one of them.

Ride Ballarat is more than an event. Born from the legacy of the Ballarat Cycle Classic and more than $3 million raised for cancer research, this is a new chapter with the same beating heart.

Pick your route and make it yours. The Short Macchiato covers 50 kilometres of some of regional Victoria's most beautiful countryside. For those ready to push further, the Long Macchiato takes you on a 100 kilometres journey through the landscapes of the City of Ballarat, Moorabool Shire and Hepburn Shire - roads that reward every effort.

Got a crew? Bring them. Ride Ballarat is the ultimate team experience - from the start line to the finish line and everything in between. Teams have their own dedicated space in the event village at Mars Stadium, with food pre-ordered and ready to go when you roll in. There is no better way to do it together. Cross the finish line and celebrate with your crew - food, community and the satisfaction of knowing you made a difference.

Together you ride for the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute - Australia's only community-funded regional cancer research facility. Every kilometre brings you closer to better outcomes for cancer patients across regional Victoria.

Acknowledgement of Country

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
