In this session attendees will get a full appreciation of Ballarat's The Arch of Victory/Avenue of Honour, planned and established as one of the most significant World War 1 memorials in the world. They will also learn about some of those names behind the plaques.

The speakers are Amethyst May and Garry Snowden.

Amethyst May is a student at Mount Clear College who has a passion for Australia's war history. She will present a short documentary on Ballarat's women during the Great War, which won a gold medal recently. She looks forward to an opportunity to answer your questions about this moving tribute to service personnel.

Garry Snowden is president of Ballarat's Arch of Victory/Avenue of Honour Committee and has extensively researched the men and women commemorated in the Avenue.
