Step into the heart of the Royal South Street Society Ballarat Eisteddfod - Victoria's largest youth performing arts pathway - and experience the thrill of the Schimmel Pianoforte Competition. This is your chance to watch talented young pianists perform live in the beautiful Ballaarat Mechanics Institute and enjoy the charm of this welcoming regional city.

From the youngest players, aged 9 years and under, through to advanced Open Age performers, this week-long event showcases the next generation of piano stars. Audiences will experience a dazzling range of styles, impressive technical skill, and expressive artistry, from delicate, soft passages to powerful fortissimo moments, true piano and forte in action.
