Join the Eureka Centre on Eureka Sunday to celebrate the Spirit of Eureka, with a special community day marking the 172nd anniversary of the Eureka Stockade.
This family fun day features free face painting and a special Eureka-themed storytime. Ballarat Aquatic and Leisure Centre will join in to present balance play activities.
This celebration has something for the whole family to enjoy. The Eureka Aquatic Centre will also hold its annual Eureka Pool Party nearby, with free entry from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Get up close to the Eureka Flag during the Flag Talks sessions, learn about its intriguing origins, and hear stories about its design, fabrication and authentication. Roll, bounce and balance at the special Balance Play pop-up session with the gymnastics team from the Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre, suggested ages 1 to 5 years. Come and see the team from Fab2see Faces to add some colour and fun to your day with free face painting for kids. Storytime by Eureka Centre's Education team will celebrate friendship, courage and the power of helping others, suggested ages 4 to 8 years.
