Welcome to A Thousand Pines, the little white, picked-fenced cottage filled with precious wonders of the days past.

This piece of history invites you to easily connect with Ballarat's goldrush era, the perfect initiation for a day at Sovereign Hill.

Within five minutes, you'll find Ballarat's best bars, restaurants and shops.

Return home to a soak in a claw-foot tub in the heated-tile bathroom. There is a shower-over-bath, an antique curiosty cabinet for everything you forgot to bring, luxe bath linen and hairdryer.

The wood burner draws you into the old-world sitting room, complete with a hidden TV with streaming channels, and a velvet Chesterfield sofa. Entertain yourself with vintage board games, movies and books, or simply turn off the lights to indulge in the romance of a candlelit space.

The two bedrooms are decorated with wrought-iron beds, black-out blinds, wall heaters and luxe bedding that will ensure a solid night's rest.

Enjoy your breakfast around the antique kitchen table with staple Australian spreads which are always stocked in the green kitchen dresser. Step through the french doors and into the fenced back garden with a lovely table and chairs and fairy lights.

Acknowledgement of Country

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
