You Belong Here. Recognising and Overcoming Self-Doubt

Join them for an empowering event focused on building confidence and embracing your place in every space. Through honest conversation and inspiring stories, they will explore how to recognise self-doubt and overcome the barriers it creates.

Their two inspiring speakers — Preet Bains, who led the charge for over a decade at Aesop, one of Australia's leading luxury brands, and Carol Fox, a Confident Communication Expert and former President of Women Sport Australia—will not only share their personal stories but also equip you with practical strategies and tools to overcome self-doubt and build lasting self-confidence.

Your experience includes inspiring one-on-one conversation with Preet Bains, interactive workshop led by communications expert Carol Fox, welcome canapés followed by a gourmet two-course meal, premium beverages served throughout the event, professional LinkedIn profile photo opportunity and a crated gift bag.

The dress code is business casual.

Acknowledgement of Country

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.

©️ 2025 Visit Ballarat. This initiative is funded by the City of Ballarat and Tourism Midwest Victoria.
