A day of finely curated lectures on Western Esotericism also featuring an occult market, speaker panel and door prizes. This year's theme is "Mercurialia"; celebrating and exploring all things Hermetic in Western esotericism.

The Victorian Occult Conference was created in 2025 to help bridge the gaps in Victoria, Australia that exist between communities in different branches of the Western Occult Tradition, also called the Western Esoteric Tradition and the Western Mystery Schools. These branches can include but are not limited to: Freemasonry, Hermeticism, Kabbalah, Paganism, Rosicrucianism & Theosophy; encompassing traditional practices like alchemy, traditional witchcraft, ceremonial magic, astrology, theurgy, tarot, divination and more.

The conference brings together people from all these communities, facilitating the spread of ancient spiritual techniques, illumination and networking. They hope to encourage comradeship, eclecticism in occult practice and a holistic appreciation of the rich and varied esoteric knowledge held in these communities. New friendships and learning opportunities can be made. They aim to offer a safe and inclusive space for like minded folk of all genders, races, ethnicities and ages to come together to learn with these shared values and visions.

Acknowledgement of Country

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
