After multiple sold-out seasons, Songs from the Canyon returns for a special run of shows across Victoria this October with new songs added for 2026.

Journey back to Laurel Canyon in the 1960s and 70s - a creative haven in the Hollywood Hills where artists like Joni Mitchell, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Carole King, Mamas and Papas, and The Doors redefined popular music. Through beautifully crafted performances, Songs from the Canyon captures the spirit of this golden era, where rich harmonies and heartfelt storytelling shaped a generation.

This beloved production brings together an extraordinary ensemble of Australian musicians, including Husky Gawenda, Dan Kelly, Charm of Finches, Alma Zygier, Stephen Grady and Dan Challis, to celebrate one of the most influential musical movements of all time.

Don't miss this captivating celebration of music, culture and connection.

Acknowledgement of Country

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.

©️ 2026 Visit Ballarat. This initiative is funded by the City of Ballarat and Tourism Midwest Victoria.
