Immerse yourself in the rich world of dark beer at Obsidian Dark Beer Festival.

This unique winter event showcases 15 independent breweries from across Victoria, pouring more than 30 bold and flavourful dark beers. From smooth stouts and rich porters to innovative and experimental brews, Obsidian celebrates the depth, complexity and creativity of the dark beer spectrum.

Your ticket includes tastings of all featured beers, a festival glass to take home, and access to local food vendors and a selection of spirits and cocktails.

Following a standout debut and a second year sell-out, Obsidian returns in 2026 with an even stronger lineup, including some of Victoria's leading dark beer specialists.

With limited capacity and strong demand, this event is expected to sell out. Secure your tickets early and experience the dark side of beer.

Acknowledgement of Country

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
