Step into a world of imagination, history, and craftsmanship with The Modellers of Ballarat. As part of the Entertainment of the Air at Ballarat Airport during the Ballarat Heritage Festival, the Modellers will showcase an incredible collection of scale models — each a miniature masterpiece.

The club brings together a community of enthusiasts who build models across a wide range of styles, from intricately hand-crafted boats and classic aircraft to military figures, historic dioramas, and models created from expertly assembled kits. Each piece reflects a passion for precision, artistry, and storytelling.

Founded to encourage the art and enjoyment of model making, The Modellers of Ballarat meet monthly to share tips, techniques, and inspiration. They proudly host a popular annual display event, drawing visitors from across the region, and publish a regular newsletter highlighting member projects, industry news, and upcoming events.

Whether you're an experienced modeller, a curious beginner, or simply appreciate fine craftsmanship, come and chat with the friendly club members, see their outstanding work up close, and maybe even spark a new hobby!

Stay connected and see more of their creations by visiting the Modellers of Ballarat Facebook group.

Acknowledgement of Country

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.

©️ 2025 Visit Ballarat. This initiative is funded by the City of Ballarat and Tourism Midwest Victoria.
