Enjoy a slice of Ballarat this August with the return of Ballarat’s Best Pie competition.
Take your pick from more than 35 savoury and sweet pies at some of the city’s top cafes, restaurants and bakeries.
On the menu at Red Duck Brewery & Distillery is chef Nikki Ryan's el quacko pie.
"This is our unique twist on two Aussie fast food favourites – tacos and meat pies," Red Duck's Vanessa Wilson-Browne said.
"We’ve teamed up with our good friends at the Tooborac Brewery—famous for their incredible pies—to bring this creation to life.
"The pie features seasoned minced beef marinated in Red Duck Amber Ale, layered with melted cheese and zesty salsa, all wrapped in flaky golden pastry and finished with a dollop of sour cream and fresh guacamole."
