The Art Gallery of Ballarat's Next Gen 2026 showcases the best artwork created by students from Government, Catholic and Independent schools from Ballarat, and the South Western Victorian region in 2025.

The work represented is by students who have completed VCE studies in: Art Creative Practice, Art Making and Exhibiting, Media, Visual Communication Design, Product Design and Technology, and students who have created design or art projects as part of the VCE Vocational Major (formerly VCAL). This exhibition will be held at Backspace Gallery.
