Guests are invited to gather around the coals for an afternoon celebrating storytelling, open-fire cooking by chef Alejandro Saravia and drinks crafted by Itinerant Spirits.

The event brings together Itinerant Spirits and Chef Saravia, of Victoria x Farmer's Daughters, for a fire-driven dining experience that highlights Western Victoria's artisan produce with refined, farm-to-table flair. The menu is paired with a selection of Itinerant Spirits cocktails and Victorian wines.

Stationed at Ballarat's historic Goods Shed, Itinerant Spirits crafts spirits inspired by wanderlust and the rugged landscapes of Western Victoria, blending tradition, innovation, and narrative in every pour.

Guests will enjoy a welcome cocktail followed by four courses prepared by Saravia, each dish celebrating regional ingredients that are slow-roasted over coals or kissed by flame. The experience combines live-fire cooking with intimate storytelling, offering an opportunity for diners to deepen their connection to the origins of their food and the people who produce it.

This event is designed for those who appreciate immersive dining, regional craftsmanship, and sharing a meal that tells a story.

Acknowledgement of Country

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
