Days of operation:
- The self-guided tour runs Wednesdays-Saturday, starting at 10:30am to finish by 4:00pm. If you’d like to visit a particular spot, please check the guidebook for their particular opening times. Purchase your guidebook beforehand so you can plan out your route.
Tour highlights:

- Ballarat Art Gallery: The oldest regional art gallery in Australia, this art gallery has stunning historical artwork that are a must see. Included near the end of the tour.
- The Ballaarat Mechanics Institute: This historic library has an amazing collection of books - almost all of which you can peruse and read in their old library room.
- Main Road historical shops and antiques: A delightful collection of local shops in the historic Main Road precinct.
