Summerfield Winery and Accommodation is owned by the Summerfield family, who have been growing grapes, attending personally to their vineyard and transforming the fruit into deep, hearty, bold reds for over 40 years.

The wines are handmade in small batches to ensure consistency and quality in every bottle. Such meticulous techniques have earned Summerfield widespread acclaim for producing consistent, quality wines.

‘Outstanding winery capable of producing wines of the highest calibre. A specialist red wine producer, the forte of which is the Shiraz. The red wines are consistently excellent, luscious and full-bodied and fruit driven, but with a slice of vanillin oak to top them off.’ James Halliday’s Australian Wine Guide.

‘Just on the edge of the sleepy hamlet of Moonambel, Summerfield is one of the Pyrenees district’s premier red wine producers. Big, rich and age-worthy, these wines make good candidates for the cellar. Summerfield also makes a good base for touring further afield. Comfortable, self-contained units are available, and the location is handy to many other wineries, lovely surrounding countryside, national parks and historic towns.’ Ralph Kyte-Powell.

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities.

These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years.

As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
