RJM’s Wine Bar is holding their first wine tasting for this year. Sample five (60 ml glasses) of the twelve outstanding quality wines on offer, or four wines plus one of the three (50 ml) fortifieds – you choose.
This is a relaxed evening where one does not need to be a wine connoisseur to enjoy tasting a range of local wines.
The wines are all from local wineries and provide a wide range of tastes and style. These include Grampians Estate’ 2015 Sparkling Shiraz, Fontanella’s Sparkling Prosecco 2018, which is only sold in select wine bars and their restaurant in Daylesford. Also Bests 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon and Montara’s 2019 Pinot Noir, from the Grampians region. Not to forget Ballarat winemaker, Jean-Paul’s 2017 Carmenere. Finally, for something new and different – Zig Zag’s latest releases – Barrell fermented Rose (rare and in short supply), and Wild Fermented red. All this, whilst enjoying one of RJMs signature cheese platters, and mixed nuts detailed below.
Five pieces of local cheese; a Brie or Camembert style, a semi-hard cheese such as Miner’s Delight (Goldfields), two Cheddars and choice of a blue vein or a maple toffee cheddar. Cheeses are accompanied by a selection of olives, seasonal or dried fruits, walnuts and crackers, and Springmounts’ fruit pastes and unique black garlic.
Book for indoors or the alfresco area.
