MISFIT Theatre presents Punk Rock on tour, Punk Rock’s final regional performance at the Post Office Box Theatre at Federation University in Ballarat on Saturday 20 July 2019.
The show follows William Carlisle who has the world at his feet but it weighs on his shoulders. William and his fellow sixth-formers are preparing for their mock A-Levels while navigating the pressures of teenage life. They are educated and aspirational young people, but the pressure is mounting and something has to give, as step-by-step the dislocation, disjunction and latent violence simmering under the surface of prosperity is revealed.
MISFIT Theatre, a local theatre organisation run under The MISFIT Project in the outer eastern suburbs of Victoria, aims to perform material that matters to young people. This tour of Punk Rock is a completely youth-driven project. The young people working both in and around the production wish to share the important messages in the play with youth all around Victoria.
This is an Amateur Production by Arrangement with Origin Theatrical on behalf of the rights holder. This performance is not recommended for viewers under the age of 15. Contains violence, adult themes and language.
