A night of Blues and Soul with Liam Kealy's new ensemble featuring Hammond Organ, Shane Gilbert on Guitar and Alister Lethlean on Drums plus Low Down and Dirty featuring local dirty guitar blues.

Shane Gilbert on Guitar and vocals, Liam Kealy Hammond on organ Alister Leithlane/ on drums. Their repertoire is a fusion of blues jazz-rock, and Originals with some funky jams in-between

Lowdown and Dirty Duo is the combination of two experienced musicians who have played in many bands in metropolitan and regional Victoria and New South Wales.

The Duo play: Early and Swamp Blues, Hocum Pocum, Boogie, Country Blues, Dark Gospel, on a number of different instruments. Kathie - Slide Guitar, shovel guitar, Double and Electric Bass, Fiddle. Ross - Piano, Harmonica, Washboard and Percussion.

Lowdown and Dirty are entertaining, combining humour as well as titbits of information about the songs and the era. Their act is appreciated not only by blues enthusiasts, but also by those who want to tantalise their ears with music reminiscent from an earlier era where many of the great rock n roll and country greats found their inspiration.

Acknowledgement of Country

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
