Hindustani Classical Music Live at Ballarat Trades Hall

A rare opportunity for Ballarat to enjoy North Indian ragas and devotional bhajans, featuring classically trained vocalist Viraj Salvi with harmonium and tabla accompaniment by Prasad Karve and Pandurang Torvi.

Viraj Salvi is a Hindustani classical vocalist living in Melbourne Australia. He has studied the musical tradition for 15 years from his gurus Pandit Madhukar Joshi and Shrimati Apoorva Gokhale in the Gwalior Gharana style.

The artists will be giving a short introduction before the show to offer some insights into the art form and ragas.

Doors open 7:00pm. Concert – 7:30pm – 10:00pm with intermission.
