Welcome to the 2021 Ballarat Heritage Festival (formally known as Ballarat Heritage Weekend). A hallmark event for the city which will run from 7 – 30 May hosting over 80+ events across Ballarat.

Enjoy the rich and complex history of Ballarat across various festival offerings. Experience the past in a contemporary way, while making new history. You will be able to enjoy events in your own time, through both ticketed and always on activations.

The festival will take a unique look at the city’s rear trades and craft skill set, through demonstration and storytelling by film, highlighting the incredible architecture, streetscapes and buildings Ballarat is famous for. There will be an opportunity to deck yourself out in tweed and ride your vintage bike through town. Show off your Beard and Stache you may even win a prize while doing so. Take a walk-through town or around the lake and experience that Ballarat Nostalgia from when you were a kid through some contemporary history selfie installations or find a talk and tour to join in on. All this exploring will make you hungry and thirsty so be sure to fuel you and the family at a local venue across town.

This festival is brought to you by the City of Ballarat, they hope you enjoy exploring this iconic city and the wider Goldfields region.
