A boozy Sunday vintage lunch exploring the history of the beers, wines, bubbles and other beverages that have been consumed in Ballarat going back in time. Hosted by award winning wine writer and raconteur Max Allen and one of the most respected wine makers in the region Owen Latta from Eastern Peak and held at the beautiful dining room Lola at The Provincial Hotel in Ballarat.
Together they will bring the past, present and future of drinking in Ballarat to life: from the orchards and distilleries of the 19th century to the new vineyards and craft breweries of tomorrow. Max and Owen will tell stories and pour wine, beer and gin, matched with dishes from Lola’s kitchen.
Three courses with matched drinks plus tastings of local heritage cider apples and fermenting grape juice: $125 per person.
