The hugely-popular White Night will return to Ballarat this spring.
According to the White Night website, the Ballarat event will be held on “one night in Spring 2019”. “From heritage buildings and streetscapes, to cultural venues and laneways, Ballarat will once again be transformed by creativity, arts and culture,” the website reads.
In March last year, an estimated 60,000 people soaked up more than 60 projections, installations, performances, exhibitions and live music across the Ballarat CBD’s streets and laneways. The city’s inaugural event in 2017 attracted more than 40,000 spectators.
Ballarat will share the event’s regional hosting role with Bendigo (2020) and Geelong (2021) over the next three years.
“We’re excited to be bringing the White Night experience back to regional Victoria, taking this exciting experience right across the state and encouraging visitors to our fantastic regional centres,” Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Martin Pakula said.
