Chat for Tea is a local favourite, and its exclusive vegetarian menu features stir-fries, noodles, nuggets, rice and all the tofu and soy! It’s the Asian cuisine you know and love, with a difference. Combine this with the fact that the space itself evokes a certain sense of peace and tranquility, and you’ve got yourself a unique dining experience smack-bang in the middle of Ballarat’s food precinct.
We couldn’t compile this list without including an Indian option – and Aroma is one of the city’s finest. Dine in or take-away, this hotspot has an impressive line-up of vegetarian options, doused in the rich herbs and spices that Indian cuisine is known for. Samosas, butter masala, vegetarian kormas and a range of delicious cheese curries, it’s a winner for dinner.
If there’s one thing that tastes just as good (if not better) served vegetarian – it’s pizza. And The Forge is Ballarat’s best. For a crowd favourite, you can’t go past the pumpkin, while the Margherita will also have you salivating at first bite (and sight). There’s also a range of mouthwatering vegetarian salads and pasta dishes, as well as a stellar antipasto platter to boot. Hot tip: The Forge serves up some of the best gluten-free pizzas you’ll ever taste! Can’t go passed it.
