The magnificent wines of the Pyrenees region will be showcased at the Pyrenees Unearthed Wine and Food Festival on April 6.
On the banks of the Avoca River between 11am and 5pm, festival-goers will be able to enjoy wine tastings, masterclasses with Pyrenees winemakers, a rare wine auction, a great selection of food and local produce, plus free activities for the kids.
Featured wineries will include:
They will be joined by guest Grampians wineries Seppelt Wines, Best’s Wines, Mt Langi Ghiran, and Clarnette & Ludvigsen.
For an alternative to wine, take your pick from 321 Cider, Red Duck Beer or gin from Kilderkin Distillery and Mrs Baker’s Still House.
Live music will keep the mood abuzz with fabulous acts on the festival stage throughout the day. Ballarat cover band Trunk will be playing non-stop hits, along with the sweet acoustic sounds of local artist Candi Wade and a soulful blues performance by locally-grown and world-experienced musician Rhiannon Simpson.
Festival buses from Ballarat are proving to be a very popular option, with one bus already fully sold and another one close to filling. Tickets are available via TryBooking.com
