It’s not just about the adults at Ballarat’s upcoming foodie festival Plate Up Ballarat. With events even the littlest of family members can eat up, everyone will be able to experience and enjoy these top family-friendly events.

Build your own Bagel Burger

A whole family kind of event, come and put your own twist on your very own bagel burger and create a masterpiece to rival each member of the family. Showcase your creations in the retro food truck, before devouring the lot. The most creative bagel burger will win a prize and become a menu item at Bagel Junction.

The Little Chefs Workshop

Something all the kids can get involved in as they learn the art of pizza and pasta making with the team at The Forge Pizzeria. A kid’s only event, your little one will be able to get their hands dirty as they knead, roll and spin dough balls before making their own pizza, which they’ll get to box up and take home just in time for lunch.

Garden Workshop – “Little Sprouts”

Specifically for you and little ones aged 3-6, this fun and interactive workshop will teach and inspire you how to grow, care and eat your own produce at home, while also giving the kids the opportunity to get grubby, digging and planting in the garden.

Hump Day Pop-up Trucks

Come down for a mid-week feast as all of Ballarat’s best food trucks gather in a secret location (TBC). For one night only you’ll be able to spruce up your mid-week dinners with a range of delicious eateries while you enjoy the live music and food truck buzz.
