In a world where we are constantly stimulated, the people behind The Design Exchange Market have made a conscious decision to keep things simple.
Part of the Ballarat Winter Festival, the two-day design market will be held on Saturday, July 6 (4pm-9pm) and Sunday, July 7 (10am-3pm) at the Ballarat Mining Exchange, 12 Lydiard Street North.
“We are all about supporting homegrown sustainability,” The Design Exchange Market founder Lyndelle Flintoft said. “The event is carefully curated with our sustainable shoppers in mind.”
“A collection of over 50 designers, artists, bakers, boutique whisky makers and musicians come together under one beautiful historic roof. We celebrate small business, handmade, ethical trading and creativeness in an atmosphere that is inclusive and inviting.”
Lyndelle said an abundance of new and innovative products would be on show at the event.
“Daylesford Apothecary will be eagerly awaiting your arrival. With two trained naturopaths and a plethora of herbs and potions, they will be able to assist you with any aches and pains,” she said.
“If your visit is to simply warm the cockles of your heart, then maybe a nip of Timboon Distillery craft whisky is more your style.”
“Meet the people making your clothes, shop sustainably, or drop past Dessert Lane for a cheeky donut at the St Gerry’s stall.”
