Road National Championships ready to ride in Ballarat

Australia’s best cyclists are bound for Ballarat to compete in February's AusCycling 2021 Federation University Road National Championships.

The coveted green and gold national jerseys will be on offer in the criterium, road race and time trial, plus Gran Fondo, across five days of action in Ballarat and Buninyong.

Usually held in the first week of January but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 3-7 February championships will feature Australia’s best cyclists in the elite, under 23, under 19, para-cyclists, masters, club and intellectual impairment categories.

Measures introduced to ensure optimal health and safety at the championships include virtual event meetings plus daily screening and tracing for staff, volunteers, contractors, participants and the public.

The event has an enhanced broadcast agreement this year which includes domestic coverage on SBS and FoxSports Australia and, for the first time, international broadcast coverage through the Global Cycling Network.
