New Year’s Eve Family Day at Kryal Castle 
When: Tuesday 31 December from 2pm until 8pm 
Where: Kryal Castle, 121 Forbes Road, Leigh Creek 
Details: Offering a fun-packed day for the whole family, including two royal jousts, music, food trucks, a giant inflatable slide, face painting, archery, potion making, wizard demonstrations and more 

Twilight train rides 
When: Tuesday 31 December from 7pm until 9pm 
Where: Invermay Railway, 6 Muscatel Street, Invermay 
Details: Miniature train rides for only $2 per ride 

NYE Trash Music Dance Party 
When: Tuesday 31 December from 5pm 
Where: The Mallow Hotel, 20 Skipton Street, Ballarat 
Details: Celebrate the end of the decade with a night of fun, frivolity and your favourite trashy dance tunes from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s

New Year’s Eve at Carboni’s 
When: Tuesday 31 December from 6.45pm

Details: Say ciao to 2019 with a four-course Italian shared banquet of antipasti, pasta, wood-fired Tuscan meat and festive desserts

The ringing of the bells at the Ballarat Town Hall 
When: Tuesday 31 December from 9.15pm 
Where: Ballarat Town Hall, 225 Sturt Street, Ballarat 
Details: In a tradition that dates back to the 1880s, a team of volunteer bell ringers will ring the Alfred Memorial Bells at the Ballarat Town Hall intermittently from 9.15pm until 11.45pm. The bells will again ring at midnight for 10-15 minutes to bring in the new year
