Made of Ballarat

20 Mar 2019

Unleash your inner artisan at the Made of Ballarat Pop-Up Shop’s Meet the Maker Melbourne experiences.

From March 29 until April 24, the pop-up shop will open its doors at Shop 4, 218-242 Little Collins St, Melbourne in partnership with Visit Victoria.

It will transcend the everyday shopfront, stimulating the senses and giving people a taste of what they can expect when they visit Ballarat.

Browse through an eclectic showcase of products, pick up hints from the experts, learn new skills, watch the makers in action and even try your own hand. Much more than a shop, this is a stage, a studio, a foundry, a mill or any manner of creative space.

Chris Pratt, Rebecca Matthews, and Scott & Vanessa Wilson-Browne – Larrikin Gin & Red Duck Beer
In 2016, a brewer called Scott with a passion for craft beer and spirits met a Scot called Chris with a lifelong interest in distilling. The pair decided it was time to fulfill their ambitions and so the Kilderkin Distillery was born. The first distillery in the Ballarat region since the 1930s, Kilderkin produces high-quality spirits including the crowd-favourite Larrikin Gin. Come and meet the makers Scott, Rebecca, Chris and Vanessa and learn all about the art of brewing craft beer and distilling gin while sampling some of their fine drops.
