A new Ballarat distillery? We’ll say cheers to that!

From the city’s Red Duck Brewery team comes Red Duck Distillery with an inspired spirit range in tow.

The starting line-up features four contemporary gins plus a native vodka:

Red
Red Duck Distillery’s new Signature Dry Gin

Signature Dry Gin – 43%

In their words: “This is our signature go-to gin. Loads of juniper and a balancing of old and new world botanicals make a bold, modern gin.”

Wonderland Gin – 43%

“An Alpine gin by style, with a focus on floral botanicals. Our inspiration is from pristine forests full of wildflowers and mountain tops covered in fresh snow. This is a delicate, soft, and elegant gin. Amazing floral notes.”

Queen of the Desert Gin – 43%

“An Australian gin inspired by the rich and rare gifts from nature that abound in our rugged outback, the arid deserts and wild tropical forests. Packed with bush tucker fruits and native botanicals. This is a bold, fruit forward gin.”

Secret Hop Garden Gin – 48%

“It is no secret that we love hops at Red Duck and we really love gin. So, we combined our two passions to create a super cool gin that uses some amazing hops with complementary botanicals. Easy on the juniper, citrus-focused hops and ruby grapefruit to accentuate the gentle hop aromas.”

Lilly Pilly and Finger Lime Vodka – 40%

“A super premium vodka distilled using native lilly pillys and finger limes, vapour infused then chill filtered for purity.”

In addition, Red Duck Distillery will soon commence production of rum and whisky in its Tasmanian-built 500-litre Knapp Lewer pot.

A new website will be unveiled soon but, in the meantime, the new range is available at the label’s cellar door (which it shares with Red Duck Brewery) at 11a Michaels Drive, Alfredton.

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities.

These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years.

As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
