Watch Australia’s best cyclists battle it out in Ballarat at the 2022 Federation University Road National Championships this 12-16 January.

The ultimate Aussie cycling line-up features an exciting five-day program with criterium, road race and time trial events.

Wednesday 12 January

What: Individual time trial

Get in on the cycling action yourself at the free community coffee ride on Friday 14 January, leaving from the The Western Hotel at 7am.

The 90-minute ride is open to everyone but numbers are limited, so click here to register.

A free community movie night will also be held on Saturday 15 January at Buninyong’s De Soza Park.

Live music and food trucks will be on offer from 5.30pm, with Space Jam: A New Legacy on the big screen from 7.30pm.

Summer Sundays at the Ballarat Botanical Gardens

And top off the final day of Road Nats on Sunday 16 January with Ballarat’s free Summer Sundays outdoor concert plus the city’s biggest ever fireworks display.

From 4-8pm at the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, listen to live music from Little Birdy frontwoman Katy Steele, contemporary African funk ensemble The Public Opinion Orchestra, Melbourne singer/songwriter D’Arcy Spiller and emerging folk/pop artist Tim Currie.

A selection of food vendors will be onsite, alongside the Garden Bar – a showcase of some of the Ballarat region’s best wine, spirit and beer producers.  

The Summer Sundays concert will be followed by a spectacular 15-minute fireworks display over Lake Wendouree at 9.30pm.
