Ballarat’s undercurrent of creativity, productivity and craftsmanship will be showcased at the inaugural Made of Ballarat Marketplace on May 4.
Presented in conjunction with Eat Drink West, the market will feature a unique blend of local artisans and producers selling their wares under the one roof at the historic Ballarat Mining Exchange.
This is your opportunity to witness their passion up close and gain an intimate understanding of how and why they do what they do.
Those on show will include The Mushroom Connection, Sally’s Paddock, Best’s Wines, Del Rios, Tuki Trout Farm, Salt Kitchen Charcuterie, 1816 Bakery, Backyard Beekeeping Ballarat, Millbrook Free Range, and many more.
You can even go behind the scenes with the producers themselves at one of the market workshops:
Each 45-minute workshop costs $25 per person. Bookings are a must to avoid disappointment. Participants must be aged over 12 years.
The Made of Ballarat Marketplace will be held on May 4, at the Ballarat Mining Exchange, 12 Lydiard St Nth, between 10am and 4pm. Entry to the market is by gold coin donation in support of the Ballarat Foundation’s Feed Ballarat initiative.
