    Breakfast at Hydrant Food Hall

    To ensure you’re fueled for an action-packed day ahead, a big breakfast is essential.

    Ice skating at the pop-up ice rink

    Lace up the skates as it’s time to hit the ice.

    Situated next to the Ballarat Town Hall, the pop-up ice skating rink is an annual winter highlight.

    But be warned — get too cocky and you may end up flat on your bum!

    Sovereign Hill and Winter Wonderlights

    Next stop, Sovereign Hill!

    Experience life on the goldfields, witness a spectacular $160,000 gold pour, venture underground on a gold mine tour or catch a horse-drawn coach and tour the town.

    Plus, during Winter Wonderlights, you can delight in the European Christmas market and enjoy traditional treats such as mulled wine or toffee apples.

    From 5.45pm, the outdoor museum will brighten up the night sky with the multi-award winning Winter Wonderlights.

    The annual extravaganza is Australia’s largest ever light projection spectacle staged on one site.

    Ballarat Wildlife Park

    Get up close and personal with the newest additions to the Ballarat Wildlife Park, Maneki and Satu the Sumatran tigers.

    The duo is part of a global species management plan and are ambassadors for helping their cousins survive in the wild.

    While at the park, you can also feed kangaroos and admire koalas, meerkats, little penguins and other Australian native animals.

    Be sure to check out Australia’s oldest and largest regional gallery, the Art Gallery of Ballarat.

    Immerse yourself in the stunning collection of Australian paintings, sculptures, ceramics and works of paper.

    Knights of Fire at Kryal Castle

    Finish your winter getaway with one last adventure — Knights of Fire at Kryal Castle.

    Everyone will love the daily highlight of the spectacular Joust of The Flame as Sir Hector meets Sir Reynard in a fiery clash of flaming lances and swords on the castle’s main arena.
