Mitchell Harris Wine has been making wine since 2008, with a focus on reflecting the cool climate characters of nearby regions. Its 140-year-old former produce store, tent-maker's and motor workshop is now a showcase for its wines and other treasures of the region, providing the full wine bar and dining experience right in the heart of Ballarat.

This modern Asian eatery and bar with an Australian twist will have you begging for more. In 2018, Moon and Mountain executive chef Liam Downes won the Golden Plate Award for best chef, with judges saying he has "all the credentials to lead the way in putting Ballarat firmly on the food map of regional Victoria".

Situated on the edge of Lake Wendouree, The Lake View Hotel is the last remaining hotel of 13 that once lined the lake's banks. The menu is vast and you can take advantage of a variety of options, depending on your tastes.
