Ballan is an undiscovered treasure an hour’s easy drive from Melbourne. It has the charm of a small rural township while boasting excellent amenities. It serves as a great base for exploring many historic towns. 30 to 45 minutes’ drive gets you to Daylesford, Trentham, Ballarat, Bacchus Marsh, Blackwood, and Steiglitz. First-rate bushwalking is available in the nearby Werribee and Lerderderg Gorges and in the Brisbane Ranges.

The Ballan Horse & Goat Self Catering is located on a one-acre block. Situated above the Werribee River you have a beautiful outlook amid peaceful surroundings and are just an easy 700-metre walk to the Ballan Post Office.

Your accommodation is equipped with a kitchenette for you to make your own light meals or you can choose from a range of eateries: pubs, several coffee shops and cafes, a bakery, a take-away shop and a pizza shop.

Ballan Horse & Goat Self Catering offers a private entrance and verandah; free-off-street parking; room with a queen-sized bed, small refrigerator, sink, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, and kitchenware; table and chairs; ensuite with a hairdryer and washing machine ironing board and iron gas space heater, pedestal fan (no air-conditioner); television and free Wi-Fi. Guests are free to wander through the garden area and use another deck situated right alongside the creek.

There is an optional adjoining two-bunk bedroom at extra charge.
