Hit Productions is proud to be presenting this important Australian work all around the country to metropolitan, regional and remote locations in 2024.

With Wesley Enoch at the helm (a development coup for HIT) the tour will take his play on stage in 2023, further than ever before with all most of the locations presenting the work for the first time. It will build on HIT’s work with First Nations artists and is a great successor to The Sapphires – its learnings and triumphs.

“I initially wrote this as a way of bringing people together, especially in the reconciliation movement, this notion of black and white dancing together and the stories of their history, especially post World War II…..in this post or living with COVID world, it’ll be even more important to see that cultural bonds can be formed by gathering as groups and dealing with social issues together.” Wesley Enoch, AM.

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities.

These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years.

As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
