Ballarat's Balmy Night Cocktail Series
After a long summer’s day, when the sun lowers in the sky, there is nothing nicer than a long, cool, slow cocktail.
So Ballarat's best bartenders and mixologists have created a special suite of more than 20 new cocktails which tie in with the theme of ‘balmy night’.
It could be a long, ginger-infused whisky cocktail or a fruity, tropical drink loaded with citrus and white spirits.
All summer long, our venues are mixing and shaking balmy night-inspired cocktails right across Ballarat.
Limoncello Mojito
Carboni's Italian Kitchen, 152 Eureka Street, Ballarat
A mojito cocktail with a fun Italian twist made with Carboni's homemade limoncello, lemons and mint. Refreshing, delicious and perfect for any summer day and night!
Saigon by Night
Saigon Allee, 30 Armstrong Street North, Ballarat
Gin, Cointreau, lemon juice, cinnamon and star anise syrup with coriander and chilli, served in a highball.
La Strada Strega
Johnny Alloo, 32 Drummond Street North, Ballarat
A beautiful Italian brew of Liquore Strega, vanilla Galliano, limoncello, faba and lemon sherbet with lots of citrus flavours, all presented in a cocktail flute. The perfect summer cocktail.
Moon Dog Ma(llow)garita

Pineapple margarita in a tall glass topped with Moon Dog's Tropical Lager.
The Yachty Sunset
The Yacht Club, 18 Wendouree Parade, Ballarat
Malibu, peach liqueur, Rubis strawberry liqueur, topped with OJ and strawberry and orange segments.
The Golden Pimms Cup
Golden City Hotel, 427 Sturt Street, Ballarat
Enjoy this classic summer British drink on the magnificent balcony of this grand 1856 hotel. The Pimms Cup consists of a gin-based liqueur (Pimm's No. 1 Cup) that is mixed with sparkling lemonade and served in a highball glass with ice, assorted fruits and mint.

A mix of Havana Club Anejo Tres Años aged rum with Paraiso Lychee Liqueur, preserved lychees, and mint muddled with lime and sugar. Sweet, tart and aromatic, this is a summery taste of the tropics. Perfect with Mr Jones' Thai food.

Capone's Colada

Named after the infamous Chicago gangster, this tropical, fruity and fun cocktail is a modern twist on the famous pina colada. Made with spiced rum, pineapple, orange, a hint of nutmeg and finished with smokin' nitro cream.
