22 Aug 2015 TO 20 Sep 2015

The Ballarat International Foto Biennale grew out of two similar events as the Daylesford Foto Biennale in 2005 and 2007, moving to Ballarat in 2009, and will again present a huge program of photographic events over multiple venues throughout Ballarat and surrounds at the 2015 festival.

The Ballarat International Foto Biennale 2015 will present a curated program of around 25 of the best photography shows from across Australia and around the world in a Core Exhibition Program designed to inspire, enthral and challenge the audience along with a curated projections program for audio visuals and a raft of invited special events.

The vibrant and eclectic open entry Fringe Exhibition Program comprising around 100 shows at venues all over Ballarat will round out a program in excess of 200 separate events over the festival month.

The 2015 Core Program exhibitions are staged in the Art Gallery of Ballarat, the Mining Exchange, Post Office Gallery, Trades Hall, the Lost Ones Gallery, Town Hall-A Hall, and St Patricks Community Hall. All venues open daily and are located within the historic precinct of Ballarat and are within five minutes walk of each other. Admission is free.

The Foto Biennale'15 Exhibition Program also features artist floor talks, seminars, lectures, portfolio reviews and workshops, affording the opportunity for all lovers of photography to gain insights into the mysteries of photography.
