Description
The Ballarat Beat Rockabilly Festival returns for it’s 5th year of Rockabilly fun in the sun in 2017! Taking over the streets of Ballarat’s CBD, the festival will celebrate all things rockabilly: the music, the fashion, the cars, the beer, the dancing, the fabulousness!
Starting on Thursday evening, 9th February, with live International band performances, the beat will continue on Friday night, 10th February, then provide full days of Rockabilly fun on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th February. Sunday evening will see festival goers capping off the weekend with a Rockabilly party!
Over the weekend, the Ballarat Beat Rockabilly Festival street party will include a car show, music, dancing displays and lessons, stalls, a poodle parade and heaps more family fun!
Entry to events taking place within the festival venues will be ticketed. This includes international bands, such as American band The Hillbilly Hellcats (www.hillbillyhellcats.com), as well as a stunning line up of leading Rock ‘n’ Roll and Rockabilly acts from across Australia.
Other ticketed venue events will include fashion shows and Pin Up competitions (for Men and Women) at the Mining Exchange, a Burlesque show, Tiki parties and DJ hop sessions.
