Coopers Pie & Pale Competition 

 

There’s nothing more warming than a gourmet winter pie. This Winterlude, eat your way around Ballarat and sample the range of pies made in house at local restaurants and cafes. Each pie will have a hero product carefully selected from the range of incredible produce we have right here on our doorstep. Then join the judges at the Pop Up Beer Hall, brought to you by Coopers, at Hop Temple on Friday 22 July to find out which pie is crowned overall winner!

Don’t forget to share your Pie pictures on social media to WIN!

How To Enter:

1. Order a Pie from one or more of the participating venues

2. Take a photo of the Pie (and pale if you ordered one)

3. Upload the photo to Instagram using the venues unique hashtag PLUS #ballaratpieandpale and #coopersbrewery

Once you have completed these steps you're in the draw to win 20 vouchers supplied by each venue valued at over $400

Coopers stout slow braised beef and mustard pie served with stoemp mash and an apple witlof slaw. Available to enjoy with a Coopers Ale.

Slow braised Mount Beckworth Goat with an Indigenous herb pastry served with organic vegetables. Available to enjoy with a Coopers Ale.

Beef and Guinness Pie with mash and peas. Available to enjoy with a Coopers Ale.

White french veal ragout, Murray river salt, mount zero, Ballarat mushrooms, country style smallgoods, pattersons puff pastry, Central Highlands herbs. Available to enjoy with a Coopers Ale.

Waubra prime lamb shanks slow cooked with Wilson fruit and vegetable mushrooms with a scent of truffle. Available to enjoy with a Coopers Ale.

A vegan pot pie with potatoes, cashews and green peas. Available with a Coopers Ale.

Beef pie served in pea soup. Available to enjoy with a Coopers Ale.

A hearty middle Eastern inspired pie made with Tuki lamb and chickpeas in a short crust.

Waubra prime pulled beef brisket with Salt Kitchen smoked bacon on truffle mash and mushroom ragout. Available with a Coopers Ale.

Gum Smoked Chicken and Wattleseed pie in short crust pastry with Saltbush and Mountain Pepper. Available to enjoy with a Coopers Ale.

Steak and pepper pie with coopers dark ale, vegetables and peppercorn. Available with a Coopers Ale.

An apple and rubarb pie with fresh local apples stewed with cottage garden rhubarb encased in Hope Bakery’s pie pastry.

Chicken corn and mustard pie with mersey cheddar and asparagus. Available with a Coopers Ale.

Mushroom Pie made with local mushrooms from the Ballarat mushroom farm.

Porky pie made with hot water savory crust with a rich pork and leek ragu filling finished with gorgonzola cheese and a flaky butter puff top. Available with a Coopers Ale.

Braised Moroccan lamb shank pie served on creamy mash in a home made crispy shell w slow cooked vegetables topped with crispy Kumara chips. Available with a Coopers Ale.

Tarna Valley beef cheek and Allendale mushroom pie with skordalia mash. Available to enjoy with a Coopers Ale.

Asian Spiced Pork Belly Pie with Western Plains pulled pork pie, Asian spices served with a side of vegetables. Available with a Coopers Ale.
